WUHAN

Wuhan lies where Yangtze River and Han Shui River merge. Comprising Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang which stand on both sides of the river, Wuhan is known as the pivot point of nine provinces. In the city centre, majestic and scenic Tortoise Mount and Snake Mount stand prominently and opposite to each other across the river.

ZIGUI

Zigui is located at the western and of Xiling Gorge where the Fragrant Stream empties itself into the Yangtze. It is home to Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in Chinese history. The small town of Zigui is very impressive with rich folk customs.
Mr Hu Zhenhao, one of the last of the Xiling Gorge trackers. Famous for his performances of old boat songs, with his troupe based in Zigui, Hubei, original home of dragon boat race.

YICHANG

Yichang lies at the eastern exit of Xiling Gorge in west Hubei, a communication guller of Sichuan and Hubei, it is known as the "Gateway of the Three Gorges". The first ever Gezhouba water conservancy project of Yangtze River was completed near Yichang and the world renowned Three Gorges Dam Project is under construction here.

SHENNONG STREAM

Shennong Stream starts at Mt. Shennong Jia in Hubei Province notrh of the Yangtze. It comprises of Parrot Gorge and Dragon Boat Gorge with breathtaking scenery. Sailing through the treacherous gorges with lush pine and translucent water, visitors can see spectacular sights like ancient plank roads, ancient cave coffins, aqueous caves, rainbow fountain and rare animals like macaques and mandarin ducks. It is also perfect to experience the culture of Tujia nationality.

BAIDICHENG(White King Town)

Located at the entrance to Qutang Gorge, this temple complex overlooks the Qutang Gorge and features Ba coffin relics, precious stone tablets & events of the Three Kingdoms. In the Western Han Dynasty, a man named Gongsun Shu claimed himself to be white king and named the place White King Town according to a legend which goes "when a white dragon is seen flying out of a well in front of a hall, the white king is born."

SHIBAO ZHAI(Precious Stone Fortress)

Shibaozhai is a gem of Chinese architecture. A wood red pavilion ll storeys high was built against a protruding 220-meter rectangular rock with sheer cliffs on the north bank. People can climb up to the top by a spiral staircase in the pavilion.

FENGDU

Fengdu is traditionally known as the town of ghosts. Upon the Mingshan hill above the river is a temple with a number of halls and statues of ghosts and devils. There is also a park with displays of the imagined lives in hell. It is considered that all people's ghosts, of whatever nationality, will come to Fengdu after death.

CHONGQING

Located in east Sichuan, Chongqing is the merging point of the Yangtze and Jialing River. Surrounded by mountains, it is known as "the mountain city". Sightseeing attractions include South Hot Spring, North Hot Spring and Mt. Jinyun. The night view of Chongqing from Pipa Shan Park is most spectacular.

THREE GORGES

The three Gorges start at Baidicheng in fengjie, Sichuan Province in the west and extend eastware to Nanjin Pass of west Hubei. Passing through Wushan, Badong and Zigui, it is 192 km in length.
The Three Gorges comprise of the arresting Qutang Gorge (8km), the idyllic Wu Gorge(44km) and the treacherous Xiling gorge(66km). Between the Three Gorges lie the wide valleys of Daning River and Fragrant Stream.
